The family of Lucietta Di Vita (nee De Vito) wish to announce her graceful passing, at the age of 94, after a brief hospital stay, on March 24, 2026.
Lucietta leaves, among so many, to celebrate her long life, her daughter, Loretta and her husband, Antonio (Tony) Pizzi; her daughter-in-law, Roxane Corbeil (Rosario, predeceased); granddaughters, Catherine (Manuel) and Caroline (Gabriel); her devoted caregiver of several years, Fely, along with her doting daughter, Catherine, and Fely's family, who became Lucietta's ''second family''; and previous compassionate caregivers, Joan, Emma, Angie, Aireen, Elen, and Christina.
Lucietta is reunited in the arms of god with her beloved husband, Ferdinando; her adored son, Rosario; her parents, to whom she dedicated herself until their final days; and her sister, who died as a young child before Lucietta was born.
Loretta wishes to thank all who loved and respected her mother, and especially those who continued to call and visit her regularly in these last three years after the loss of Rosario left her in profound grief: Lino, Franco, Anthony and Mary, Mary and Ignazio, Aunt Pierrette, Giuseppina, Michelina and Fernando, ''Mimi'', Felix, Iva, Anna, Zia Angelina, Zio Umberto, Josie, Dino, Mrs. Coletta, the Pizzi family, Anna and Hélène, Angie, and last but not least, Nina and Daniele.
She also thanks Lucietta's cherished and attentive neighbors: Margaret, Henry, Evin, Maria, Rocco, Mike and Josie. If it were not for your watchful eyes, Loretta and Tony would not have had the confidence to let Lucietta reside until her more vulnerable days in the luxury and comfort of her own home.
A visitation will take place at Complexe Funéraire Yves Légaré à Angrignon (7200, boul. Newman, LaSalle) on April 9, from 9 am to 12 pm; followed by a mass at the same location, from 12:15 pm to 1:00 pm. At 1:15 pm, the family, and all who wish to follow, will proceed to the Montréal Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery (4601, chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges), where Lucietta will remain-in eternal peace-at Mausolée Esther-Blondin.
