It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn Matta on Friday, February 13 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer.
He leaves behind the love of his life Arlene, son Adam and daughter Lisa, whom he wholeheartedly loved and adored and the love was returned two fold. Beloved son of the late Madeleine, forever loved by brother Steve (Sylvie), sister Donna (late George), sister-in-law Donna, niece Samantha (Scott) and great nephews Dylan and Ayden along with family and friends.
Glenn was quick with the Dad jokes, always wanting to be with his family to watch old favorite movies, loved watching Adam and Lisa play their video games often joining in. Planning and taking family drives / getaways, including our dog Maggie were always fun filled and planned perfectly. Glenn enjoyed pampering his family with treats and surprises just to see the smiles on our faces. Time spent at home with our family were the most treasured moments when everyone was safe and sound. A life well lived and know you were so loved and will be with us always. Thank you to the doctors and nurses in the ICU at the Lakeshore General Hospital.
The celebration of Glenn's life will take place at Complexe Yves Legare, 14370 boul. Pierrefonds, Pierrefonds, Quebec on Sunday, March 8 from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. followed by a service in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Cancer Society may be made in Glenn's memory.
