Ersilia Rosati
September 21, 1943 - September 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Ersilia Rosati on September 25th, 2026.
Born in Cicala, Italy, Ersilia's journey brought her to Montreal, where she transformed courage and sacrifice into a life rich with family, enduring friendships, and a legacy of love.
She was the beloved wife of Francesco Marrone, with whom she shared 62 years of marriage. Together they created a home filled with warmth, generosity, and unconditional love. She was a devoted mother to Sergio and Sara (Dario), and a proud and loving Nonnina to Olivia, Rebecca, Daniela, Francesca, and Sofia.
She will be deeply missed by her beloved sister Rosetta (Enrico), her extended family, and her dear friends. While the loss of Ersilia leaves an immeasurable void, the love she gave will continue to surround those who were fortunate enough to know her.
The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Complexe Yves Légaré, 7200 boul. Newman, LaSalle, QC, H8N 1X2.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 7935 rue Lefebvre, LaSalle, QC, H8N 2A9.
The family kindly requests donations to the Jewish General Hospital in memory of Ersilia Rosati, with sincere thanks to its doctors, nurses, and staff for their compassionate care. https://secure.jghfoundation.org/site/TR/DIY/DIY_2026?pg=personal&px=1233282&fr_id=1332
Ersilia was a constant source of strength, comfort, and unconditional love. Her elegance was reflected not only in the way she presented herself, but in the way she lived: with dignity, grace, and love. Her legacy lives on in the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the countless lives she touched.
