In Loving Memory of Emmanuel

With profound sadness and immense love, we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, Emmanuel, who peacefully entered eternal rest on July 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Surrounded by love, he passed with his devoted wife, Elpida Kladas, by his side and a gentle smile on his face, as though he was being welcomed into Heaven by those who had gone before him.

Born on March 5, 1945, in Maleme, Chania, Crete, Greece, Emmanuel carried his Cretan heritage with immense pride throughout his life. Intelligent, well-educated, and deeply respected, he was admired not only for his knowledge but for his kindness, humility, and unwavering integrity.

Emmanuel leaves behind his beloved wife, Elpida Kladas; his devoted children, Ioannis (Prokopia) and Despina (Nicola); and his treasured grandchildren, Hope, Emmanuel, Anthony, Kostandina and Gianni, who were the greatest joy of his life. He was fiercely proud of each of them, celebrating every milestone and always encouraging them with love and wisdom.

Emmanuel was a proud and devoted member of the Greek community. He served for many years as President of the Cretan Association of Montreal and remained an active and dedicated member until the very end of his life. He was also a committed member of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal, where he generously gave his time, leadership, and support to preserving the traditions, history, and culture of Crete and Greece for future generations.

A lifelong student of Greek history, Emmanuel had an incredible passion for sharing stories of his homeland and its rich heritage. He found peace and happiness in his garden, where his patience and care transformed every season into something beautiful. Photography was another lifelong passion, allowing him to capture treasured moments and preserve memories that will forever be cherished by his family.

While our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with those who went before him and is now resting peacefully in God's eternal embrace.

He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in our hearts.

Visitation and Funeral Service

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church
