Kiliaris, Demetre 1946 - 2025
We are deeply saddened to share that Demetre (Jimmy) Kiliaris has passed away, on December 8th 2025, at the age of 79. He was a man of great strength and devotion. Born in Athens, Greece, he bravely left his home and came to Canada alone, hoping to build a better life for himself and everyone he loved.
Jimmy was more than just a provider. He was our support, our courage, and the steady foundation of our family. He was always there for his family and friends, offering help, guidance, and comfort whenever it was needed. His generosity was endless, and his heart was as big as his dreams.
He was a Titan, a rock, and the patriarch of our family. His strength was matched only by his kindness, and his legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the love he shared.
Though we mourn his loss, we celebrate the incredible life he led and the indelible mark he left on all of us. May his memory be eternal and a blessing to all who knew and loved him.
Beloved husband of Halina Taperek Kiliaris, cherished father of Sophia (Dimitrios) and Stelios (Angie), devoted grandfather of Ellena, Dimitri, Melina, Irini and Dimitra. He will also be deeply missed by his siblings Eleni, Lemonia (Christo) and Zacharia (Despina), his nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as by all other family and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 5pm to 9pm.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 10:00 am at St.Nicholas Church, 3780, ch du Souvenir, and thence, to the Papineau Cemetery.
