It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Afroditi Mourelatos, on December 2nd 2025.
With deepest sorrow, the family of Afroditi Mourelatos announces the passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and aunt. Beloved wife of Peter Mourelatos, cherished mother of Efthymios (Voula), Catherine (Yianni) and Christos (Susie), devoted grandmother of Dimitri (Annie), Peter- Nicholas (Marieva), Peter-Nicholas, Aphrodite and Christina. She will also be deeply missed by her great-grandchildren Catherine and Elena, her sisters and brothers, in-laws and all other family and friends.
Afroditi served for many years as President of the Athens-Piraeus Association of Montreal and for decades as an active member of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal.
Through her Presence she taught what style and dignity truly mean, while through her dedication she supported both her family and our community in difficult but also hopeful times. She was a true lady, cherished by all, who with her gentle manner and kindness left an indelible mark to the broader Greek community.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2pm to 9pm at the Yves Légaré Saint-Dorothée Complex, 1350 Chomedey highway.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 4865 Chem. du Souvenir, and thence, to the Yves Légaré Mausoleum, 33 rue Principale.
