We sadly announce the passing of Ruth Elizabeth Taylor Tsonos at the Centre d’hébergement Ste-Dorothée on July 13, 2024 at the age of eighty-nine.
Daughter of the late Harry and Alice Taylor. Baby sister of the late Eric, Roy and Eunice. Wife of the late Christie. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Diane, Kathy, Susan and Keith, Tammy and Danny, Bruce and Tracey, and Peter and Danielle. Cherished Nanny of Christopher, Nathaniel, Michael, Justin, Bailey and Olivia. Beloved by her Taylor nieces and nephews, Wayne, Barry, Ricky, Bobby, Adrianne and Keith, despite living miles away from them.
Ruth was born and grew up in Verdun and spent most of her adult life in Chomedey, Laval, living on Barbe Street and at the Villagia, working at the Jewish Rehabilitation Hospital and attending church at St Simon’s, all places where she made many lasting friendships.
The family will receive condolences at the Yves Legare Funeral Complex, 1350 Highway 13, Laval, Québec on July 28, 2024 from 1pm to 5pm, followed by a private service and burial on July 29, 2024.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the War Amps would be appreciated, as Ruth was a long-time supporter of this worthy organization.
We wish to express our gratitude to Dr Bernier and all the staff of Unit 1C of the Centre d’hébergement Ste-Dorothée who took good care of our mother, particularly in her final days.
