It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Sofia Gouvis Strifas, on November 4th 2024, at the age of 79.
Beloved wife of Athanasios Strifas, cherished mother of Ekaterini (Dimitrios), Eleni (Theodoros) and Christos, devoted grandmother of Sotirios, Panagiotis (Liezl) and Sofia. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters Panagiota (Spiro) and Malamo both from Greece, her in-laws Eleni, Anastasios (Adonia) from Greece, Konstandinos (Dimitra), Aristea, Panagiotis (Argyro), Georgia Strifas and many other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday November 12th 2024 at 9:30 am at St-Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur de Montréal for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the The Jewish General Hospital Foundation or Sacre-Coeur Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
