Vasilios Vardaxoglou
1967-2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Vasilios (Billy) Vardaxoglou, on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, at the age of 57.
Beloved husband for 33 years of Efstathia (Effie) Theodosiou, cherished father of Alexandros (Kathryn), Eleni (Danny), and Ioanna (Brendyn).
He will also be deeply missed by his mother Ioanna (Stelios), his sister Maria (Petro), mother-in-law Eleni, sister-in-law Sam and many relatives and friends.
He was known for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and boundless love for his family and friends. Whether cracking jokes that left everyone in stitches or offering a shoulder to lean on, he had an extraordinary ability to make those around him feel seen, valued, and loved.
He faced life’s challenges, including his illness, with remarkable courage and humor, never losing his ability to make others smile, even in the darkest times.
Though his time with us was cut short, he left an indelible mark on the world. His strength, humor, and kindness will continue to inspire us, reminding us to live boldly, love deeply, and laugh often.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Complexe Yves Légaré Laval.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 at 1:00 pm at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3780 Chem. du Souvenir, and thence, to the Notre-Dame de L’Espérance Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at both the Lakeshore General Hospital and Jewish General Hospital for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Lakeshore General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
