Karen Hyde 1959-2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen on March 28,2024 at the age of 64.

She is survived and mourned by her loving husband Lloyd Brathwaite ( known to many as Jeff), her mother Ethel, her brother Gary (Sandra),and nephews Jeffrey and Scott . She is predeceased by her father Donald and sister Donna.

She will be greatly missed by her extended family, friends and colleagues, as well as the many people whose lives she touched. She will especially be missed by her loving pets Lyla and Stitch.

Karen was a vibrant happy woman, always full of spunk and life. Karen is also remembered for her beautiful singing voice, playing steel drums, guitar and softball.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 1pm to 4PM at the Yves Légaré Complex in Châteauguay, 123 Maple Blvd.

Special thanks to the medical teams at the Anna Laberge Hospital in Châteauguay and the Dialysis team at the Suroît Regional Hospital in Valleyfield and additionally the CLSC nurses and staff.

In lieu of flowers it would be fitting to make a donation in her memory to the Kidney Fondation or your favourite charity.
