Hristina Voutos (Née Daskalopoulos)

1937-2025
In Loving Memory of Hristina (Daskalopoulos) Voutos
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Hristina, a cherished wife, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She departed from this world on January 30th, surrounded by her loved ones, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

Born on February 6th 1937 in Sellasia, Greece. Hristina lived a life full of joy, challenges, and immense love. She was known for her warm smile, her hearty laugh, and her unwavering dedication to her family. She was married to Draganikos Voutos for 63 years, sharing a bond that was evident to all who knew them.

Hristina was a mother of 2 children Father Spiridon and Athina (Emilio), but it was in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother that she truly shone. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Christina, Terry (Jessica), Draga (Vanessa), Denis (Barbara), Niko (Kaila) Dean (Maria) and Maria, each of whom she loved and nurtured with an abundance of stories, food, and life lessons. Her joy multiplied with the arrival of 11 great-grandchildren: Adriana, Athena, Joseph, Lorenzo, Nathanael, Nina, Amalya, Luciano, Emmanuel, Cecilia and Zoe for whom she was a playful, loving figure, always seen at family gatherings with a child on her lap. One of 8 siblings, her beloved sister Theodora, and family, never once left her side.

Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, filled with the aroma of her famous dolmadakia, and her presence was a source of comfort and guidance. Her tales of the past, her wisdom on life, and her unconditional love will be missed but never forgotten.

Hristina was not only a family matriarch but also an active member of her church, with an unconditional faith and love in God. She was strong, feisty and relentless, fighting hard until the very end.

She is survived by her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her great-grandchildren, brothers and sisters as well as a host of family and friends who regarded her as family.

A viewing for Hristina will be held on Sunday February 2nd from 3pm to 9pm at Yves Légaré Funeral Complex 1350 Autoroute 13 Laval. A viewing will also be held on Monday February 3rd from 4pm to 9pm at St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church LaSalle. Divine Liturgy will take place on Tuesday February 4th at 9am at St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church LaSalle, followed by the funeral and burial at Mount Royal Cemetery 1297 Foret Rd, Outremont.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church LaSalle.

Hristina will be remembered not just for the years she spent on earth but for the love, laughter, and light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to guide and inspire her family for generations to come.

Rest in peace, Mytera, Giagia, Gyneka, and Aderfoula. May your memory be eternal, we love you.
