It is with sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Edward Maj on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at the age of 87.
Beloved and dedicated husband for 62 years to Lorna. Loving father of Stephen (Jaki), Peter (Amanda), and Dzia Dzia of Zachary, Cooper, and Nathan. Brother to Helen (Joe), and late Stan (late Toni). Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Family was an important part of Ed’s life. They were his pride and joy, his strength. His eyes lit up whenever they had a chance to be together. Even though miles separated him from his siblings, he made it a point to regularly reach out.
Ed has a zest for life and a strong faith. He had a second chance after a major stroke - a miracle. He gave of himself, volunteering within his church, the hospital, and in sports. He enjoyed cheering on his favourite teams – The Montreal Canadiens and Buffalo Bills.
Ed had many friends in both the Montreal and Toronto areas. When he entered, the room would always brighten. He will be greatly missed by all – family and friends.
Viewings will be in both Oakville and Montreal as follows:
Glen Oaks Funeral Home – Tuesday, December 3rd, 6 - 8 PM, 3164 Ninth Line, Oakville, On

The funeral mass will take place on Friday, December 6th, 12 PM, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church – 1660 Centre St, Montreal, QC.
Donations may be made to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital (OTMH).
