Stanley Szmigiel 1924-2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wujek Stanley Szmigiel, on February 3, 2024, at the age of 99 years.
Beloved husband for 66 years of Eugenia née Gamrat who predeceased him in 2017. Faithful uncle, granduncle, and great granduncle to many. Good neighbor and friend to those in Chomedey, Laval and those around Sopala Lake near Mansonville in the Eastern Townships. Lifelong friend to many members of the Polish community, especially those that came to Canada after World War II. He will be deeply missed by all.
The family will have a church service on Saturday, February 17^th, 12:30pm at Holy Name of Jesus parish in Laval: 899 Chomedey Blvd., H7V 2X1. Cremation was by Yves Légaré in Laval.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to any cancer foundation or to Holy Name of Jesus parish would be appreciated.
