It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Vasili Bill Paradias on November 22, 2025 at the age of 84. Taken from us peacefully after a valiant battle with Alzheimer s disease. He leaves behind his cherished wife of 58 years, Doxa, along with his loving children Litsa (Nick), John (Cathie) and Philip. Vasili was the immensely proud papou to grandchildren; Christina (Jon) and Frankie . Predeceased by his brother Andrea (Dota), and survived by his brother Panayioti (Melpomeni), and sister Marina (Christo) along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends in Canada and Greece.
Born on Sept 9,1941, in Kastoria, Greece, Vasili came to Canada at the age of 24 where he built a life rich with family and friendship. In his midlife, he developed a passion for golf and nothing made him happier than enjoying a cigar and a scotch after his round .
Always cheerful and optimistic he will be fondly remembered for his infectious smile. Admiringly referred to as Mr Bill by the staff at CHSLD Ste Dorothee to whom the family is grateful for their compassion and care. Alzheimer s was no match to his happy and gentle nature which shined right through every single day.
Our dear Baba, we will cherish a lifetime of memories and are especially grateful for these last 4 months where through your heart and eyes, you taught us a valuable lesson of finding great joy in the simplest pleasures. How we long to see your smiling face and have just one more card game. Forever in our hearts, may you rest in eternal peace.
Arrangements under the care and direction of Complexe funéraire Yves Legaré,on Thursday, November 27th from 4pm-8pm.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Novemeber 28th at 10am at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox church , 4865 du Souvenir,Laval H7W 1E1
