It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leontina (Tina) Galego Bischoff, a beloved grandmother, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who passed away peacefully at the age of 82. She will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Mark (Tracy) and Jennifer (Scott) and by their families. Vavo will be forever missed by Alexander, Maxim, Vincent, Fredrick and Jonathan. Her independent spirit, gratitude, and love will live on through them.
She is also survived by her two sisters and brother, Alda, Odette, and William (Carole), with whom she shared a deep bond, along with her roots in Sao Miguel. She held a special place in her heart for her first cousins, Robert, Jos (Hélène) and Grace, forged by a deep history and especially close and treasured relationships. Also mourning her loss are her nieces and nephews and other relatives.
She will be remembered for her free spirit, wisdom, and the love she gave so freely to those around her. Her presence was a joy to many, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion and strength. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
