It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rosa Chimienti Di Geso at the age of 94, on January 9, 2026, at the Palliative Care Unit of Santa Cabrini Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, surrounded by her loved ones.
Beloved wife of Giuseppe and devoted mother of Luigi (Lynne), Mary (Gino), Rosa will also be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Alessandra, Krystina (Tony), Dario, Claudio (Catherine), and her great-grandchildren Valentino and Simona.
Born on July 16th, 1931, in Sannicandro-Bari, Italy, Rosa immigrated to Montreal with her husband in 1955. She dedicated her life to working as a seamstress and devoted herself fully to caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Rosa will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all those she touched throughout her life, and we are comforted in the knowing that she will be reunited with her husband, her sisters, her brother, and her parents.
The family will be receiving condolences on Thursday, January 15, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Complexe Funéraire Yves Légaré Laval, 1350 Autoroute Chomedey Ouest, Laval, Quebec H7X 3W9 Canada. A short mass will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at the same location.
