Roland St-Jacques, son of the late Alphonse St-Jacques and Marie-Rose St-Hilaire, passed away with dignity and serenity at Cité de la Santé de Laval on February 5.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Marie-Josée, his three sons Hugo (Kim Guillemette), Jean-Philippe (Jessica Nolet-Stuart), Marc-Olivier (Valérie Rousseau), his beloved grandchildren: Marie-Eve (Emilie Perreault), Félix, Edouard,Théo, Aurélie, “Petit ” Félix, and Edouard's mother Lison Thuot. His sister Huguette (Christian Beaudoin), his brothers Claude (late Marie Pilon), Marcel (France Massie), Jean-Paul and Guy (Christine Chartrand). His mother-in-law Raymonde Gagné, sisters-in-law Danielle Perreault (Guy Lamy), Suzanne Perreault, godson Thierry Morrissette, goddaughters Julie and Olivia St-Jacques and many nieces and nephews. Roland is also survived by a host of friends, those of St-Sauveur, Islemere, Quail Ridge and Laval-sur-le-Lac, as well as all those who worked for him during his long career as a real estate developer, and those who still do.
A celebration of his life will be held in the spring on April 12 at Complexe Funéraire Yves Légaré, 1350 Autoroute 13, Laval. The family will welcome you from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.; the ceremony in his honour will take place at 4:15 p.m. in the complex chapel.
Roland always considered himself very privileged in life, so in lieu of flowers, a donation in his memory to the Moisson Laurentides food bank (moissonlaurentides.org) would be greatly appreciated.
