May Roussie (McGrath) 1925 - 2026
It is with deep sadness, we announce the passing of May Roussie (McGrath) beloved wife of the late Harold Roussie.

May peacefully passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026, at the Anna Laberge Hospital in Chateauguay, QC at the age of 100. Born April 28, 1925 in Campbellton, NB to Peter McGrath and Rose Delima Mercier, May's life was a century of love and cherished memories.

She is survived by her daughters Janet (Gabe) and Debra (Joe); her adored grandsons Francis (Rachel) and Christopher; (Kelly); and great grand-children Freya, Elowen and Ryan who brought her immense happiness.

She also leaves behind her siblings Albert, Romeo, Mary and Noella along with many loving nieces and nephews. In passing, she is reunited with John, Julianne, Alice, Lorraine, Isabelle, Leonard, Raymond and Evangeline.

Her warmth and kindness were truly the foundation of her family, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

We extend heartfelt gratitude to Father Henry, whose daily visits were a great comfort to her in her final days.

Visitation will be held on April 28, 2026, at Complexe Yves Légaré, 123 Maple Street, Châteauguay (J6J 3P9), from 1:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Notably, this date would have been May's 101st birthday. We will honour her remarkable life on this special day, followed by a Celebration of Life in the chapel. A reception will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. May will be laid to rest at the Field of Honour in Pointe-Claire on April 29, 2026, at noon.

For those who wish to honour May's memory a donation to a charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated.
