It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Maria Govanis, on July 28, 2026, at the age of 88.

Beloved wife of Dimitrios Beliotis, cherished mother of Anthony (Marina), devoted grandmother of Dimitrios-Chrysovalantis and Eugenia-Panayota. She will also be deeply missed by, her sisters Ioanna and Vasiliki (Nick) and many relatives and friends in Canada and in Greece.

The family will receive condolences on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Complexe Yves Légaré Laval.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday August 5, 2026 at 11:00 am at Koimisis Tis Theotokou Church, 7700 Avenue de l'Épée, and thence, to the Papineau Cemetery.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Hôpital Général Juif de Montréal for their wonderful support and care.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Foundation of the Jewish Hospital would be appreciated.
