Kyritsis, Louis 1936-2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louis (Leonidas) Kyritsis, our beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully in Montreal on February 14, 2026 at the age of 89, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on March 9, 1936 in Thermos, Greece, he carried the spirit and traditions of his homeland with him throughout his life. He was a man of quiet strength; gentle and humble, yet deeply proud of his family and his roots. Guided by his faith, he lived with calm wisdom and kindness. He did not need many words to make an impact; his steady presence spoke for itself. When he shared stories of Greece and life s lessons, they became moments we will always treasure.
Beloved husband of Irini, cherished father of Vicky (Billy), Paula (Nick), and Tommy (Nathalie), devoted grandfather of Maria, Ioanna, Peter, Petro, Sofia, and Louis, all of whom were his greatest pride and joy. He will be deeply missed by his brother Dimitri (Froso), sisters-in-law Mary and Afroditi, and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Complexe Yves Légaré Laval.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 3780 Chemin du Souvenir, followed by interment at St-Martin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Ladies Philoptochos of St-Nicholas would be appreciated.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the legacy he leaves behind one of family, faith, and enduring love.
