Gerald (Gerry) Leo Ferguson passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Quebec, with family by his side,on October 30, 2025 at the age of 75.

Gerry will be deeply missed by his sisters Linda Ferguson (David), Rhoda Hughes (Peter), and his brother Jeffrey Ferguson (Joanne).
He was a loving uncle to Kevin, Lynn-Marie, Barry, Shannon, Christina, Sierra and Shelby and great-uncle to Cian, Ronan, Teagan, Eleanor, Abigail and Amilia.

He is predeased by his parents Leo and Rhoda (Mugford) Ferguson and his sister Alice Ferguson and brother John Ferguson.

Gerry will also be missed by his dear friend a longtime companion Barbara Buckley and her children Kilby McKay (George), Lindsay Grieve (Chris), Jamie Dodson (Carolyn, and Chris Dodson (Jackie). Loving Grampy Gerry to Natalie, Ali, Max, Kelsey, Sam, Zoe, Jordyn and Henry, and proud great-grandfather of Maverick.

Always kind to everyone he met, he will live on in the hearts of many friends and extended family members.

Gerry was an avid golfer and outdoorsman. He was well known in the Montreal golf community, having worked at multiple golf courses over the years. While he loved to play, his true calling was always teaching the game. Gerry also loved fishing, camping, boating and simply sitting around a bonfire. The first to tell a joke or share a funny story, Gerry's laughter will continue to echo through the memories of this family, friends, and all who loved him.

A burial and celebration of Gerry's life will be held in the early summer of 2026.
