It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Eugenia Boucouvalas (née Varelaki), on December 27th 2025, at the age of 93.
Cherished mother of Chris (Anna) and Steve (Nancy), devoted grandmother of John, Michael, Alexandra (Kurtis), Olivia (George), and great grandmother to John.
Eugenia left Greece at an early age for her adopted homeland of Canada, where she met the love of her life and built a loving home and beautiful family. She will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, January 8th, 2026 from 5pm to 8pm.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 9th, 2026 at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church, 4865 Chem. du Souvenir, and thence, to the Montréal Mont-Royal Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Hôpital Cité-de-la-Santé, the staff at Le Dufresne and all the caregivers for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Greek Community of Greater Montreal would be appreciated.
