Our beautiful dancing mom has taken her final curtain call and left the stage on March 25th, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
She is survived by her children Marina(Dan), Ernano, Gina(John) and Anita(Stephen), grandchildren Julia (Rowan), Audrey(Aurélien),Simone (George), Marlon(Marielle),Sarah(Matt)and Marissa and her great granddaughter Mae.
She is also survived by her siblings Gerry(Denise), Bobby, Ronnie, Deborah(Andre) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Marcello, sister Betty and sister-in-law Mary.
Audrey was born in Buckingham, Quebec in a house next to a Bell Canada building, a company she would work for years later. She was the eldest of six children born to Ethel Limmer and Georges Guy. Audrey loved to read comics as a teenager and was particularly fond of Superman.
She loved dance and at 17 years old gave her friends Toni perms to make enough money to pay for dance classes. After weeks of begging and many tears her mother finally gave in and allowed her to travel across town to take classes at the renowned Mary Beetles Dance School where she excelled in her classes and became part of the dance troupe “Dance Entre Nous”.
Audrey was selected to dance in several opera productions including “Carmen”. Audrey would teach dance numbers to her colleagues at Bell Canada for community shows Christmas shows, including the “Cancan”.
At 23 years old she met her future husband Marcello at a dance. They married in 1960 and had 4 children and in 1965 they moved to Pincourt to raise their family.
Marcello died in 1980. Audrey remained in their home until 2022 before moving to Chartwell Manoir Kirkland where she found love again with Cyril sharing two joyful years before his passing.
Audrey worked for Bell Canada from 1950 until 1964 and again from 1978 until she retired in 1992.
She especially loved her time at Simpsons department store (1974-1978), where she enjoyed working with the public. After retiring from Bell, she continued working with the public doing food demonstrations in local grocery stores.
A dedicated volunteer, she served as President of her children’s school committee, secured funding for classroom space, supported the volunteer program at St. Patrick’s Perpetual Chapel, and canvassed for the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
Audrey’s Catholic faith was a guiding light throughout her life, exemplified by her actions. She was of service to others, always offering a helping hand, a listening ear, and a compassionate heart. Whether through acts of generosity, words of encouragement, or quiet moments of prayer, she lived out her faith with grace and humility. She was an active member of St Patrick of the Island Catholic Church from 1965 until 2022.
After taking a break from dance to raise her family, Audrey returned to classes and performed on stage from 1978 until 2020-dancing well into her 80s, with her final performance at the age of 87. Her passion for dance was rivaled only by her deep love for her family-her children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter and her many nieces and nephews. She cherished time with them, often traveling together or visiting loved ones in Alberta and BC.
Summing-up 92 years of a life well lived is no easy task! Audrey’s journey was filled with love, resilience, and countless experiences that shaped the woman she became. While much of her story is told through her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, it is equally important to remember the young girl she once was-the daughter, the sister, the niece, the granddaughter, the cousin and the friend. Her early years, spent alongside her extended family were the foundation of a life rich with laughter, adventure, and deep connections. Though time has carried her forward, those moments remain a cherished part of her story, woven into the legacy she leaves behind. She will be missed!!
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Audrey’s dear friend Mary, for her regular loving visits with Audrey, as well as to Audrey’s beloved caregivers Amy and Yeshi for their kindness & support through her final months.
The family will receive condolences on, Friday March 28, 2025 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday March 29th 2025 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at Complex Yves Légaré Pierrefonds, 14370 Pierrefonds Blvd., Pierrefonds, Quebec H9H 4R7.

Audrey will be laid to rest at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery on April 1, 2025 at 2:45 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
