It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio Maselli, who left us peacefully on August 14, 2025, at the age of 88.
Antonio was born on October 30, 1936, in Pietracatella, Campobasso, Italy. From humble beginnings in his beloved hometown, Antonio began a journey that would define a life of resilience, devotion, and love. At the young age of 17, he emigrated to Venezuela in search of opportunity, and in 1963 to Montreal, Canada, where married the love of his life, Maria D’Amico, his devoted wife of 62 years.
Together, they built a beautiful family and a lasting legacy. Antonio is survived by his cherished wife Maria, his loving children Mario (Ibolya “Ibbi” Kovacs) and Mena (Lino Nastasi), and his two treasured granddaughters, Melina and Daniela, who brought immense joy to his later years, and many relatives and friends in Italy and Canada.
In Canada, Antonio and his brother-in-laws established a successful masonry contracting business, where he proudly practiced his trade until retirement. He was admired for his integrity, and his tireless work ethic.
Antonio was a man of deep faith, guided throughout his life by devotion, humility, and family values. To all who knew him, he will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and a man whose kindness, wisdom, and strength touched many lives.
Visitation will take place on Monday, August 18, 2025, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Missione Madre dei Cristiani Church on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11 a.m, followed by burial at Rideau Memorial Gardens in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.
His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
