It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Antonio Tanzi, on November 17, 2025, at the age of 94.
Beloved husband for 41 years of the late Filomena Cerra, and cherished longtime companion of Vincenza Covino, he was a devoted father to Maria, Donato, Silvana, Luisa (Bruno), and Angela (Gabriel). He was a proud and loving grandfather to Pina (Hadi), Natalie (Geoff), Anthony (Andrea), Nicolas, Bruno, Victoria (Mark), Christina, Samantha (Ronald), Anthony (Vanessa), and Jonathan.
His legacy lives on through his great-grandchildren Vienna, Amelia, Lucas, Giulia, Adam, Chloe, and Emma as well as the future great-grandchild soon to join the family. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers, the late Aurelio (the late Giovanna Assunta), Domenico (the late Maria), and Giuseppe (Elvia) Tanzi; by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family in Italy; and by Vincenza s children and grandchildren. He will also be deeply missed by numerous relatives and friends whose lives he touched.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Yves Légaré Lasalle, 7200 boul. Newman.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 7935 rue Lefebvre, followed by the burial at Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery in Montréal.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his devoted home care team especially Jasmine for her exceptional care and dedication, as well as Alison and to the CLSC home palliative care team for their compassionate support. They also wish to thank the doctors and nurses of the Teresa Dellar Palliative Care Residence for the extraordinary care and kindness shown to him.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory to the Teresa Dellar Foundation would be sincerely appreciated.
