Angela Maria Berardino Molino January 30, 1941 - August 8, 2026
With deep love and treasured memories, we celebrate the life of Angela Maria Berardino Molino, who passed away peacefully following a journey with dementia. Through every season of her life, Angela was defined by her generosity and her deep devotion to family.
Born on January 30, 1941, in Casacalenda, Italy, Angela carried an enduring pride for her hometown throughout her life. As a teenager, she embarked on a new chapter, immigrating to Montreal, where she built her roots and lived most of her life. She remained a passionate, active presence in her Canadian-Italian association, never forgetting the traditions and heritage that shaped her.
In 1963, Angela married the love of her life, Pietro Molino. Together, they shared a full life that took them from Montreal to London and Milan for Pietro's work. Angela was an unwavering supporter of her husband's career, adapting to new cities with grace. They had a family, travelled extensively and shared their lives with close friends and family. Everyone was always welcome in their home. Pietro predeceased her in 2013, shortly after they celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Beyond her home, Angela was a proud career woman. She loved her work at Redpath Sugar, where her warmth and dedication made a lasting impact. Though her husband's international relocation forced her to step away early in 1992, her passion for the job never faded - she often joked that she would have happily gone back to work at Redpath right into her 80s.
To know Angela was to sit at her table, whether for dinner or to play Scopa. She was a fabulous cook, and her Christmas Eve feasts were legendary. To this day, her family deeply misses her pasta and sugo, her homemade pizza, white lasagna, and her classic almond biscotti - what any of us wouldn't give for just one more taste of her cooking.
Some of Angela's happiest moments were spent with friends and family at the cottage in North Hatley. It was a place of comfort and joy throughout her life, and a true blessing that she was able to spend a final weekend there this July.
In her later years, as dementia took her memories and mobility, it could never touch her core. Angela's generosity of spirit and sweet sense of humour continued to shine through. Her family extends their heartfelt gratitude to her exceptional team of caregivers-Rosanna, Analyn, Ana, and Jennet. The love, kindness, and respect they showered upon Angela made all the difference, and they will forever be considered family.
Angela is survived and deeply missed by her eldest daughter Maddalena and her husband Robert Eschenasi; her son Davide; and her two cherished grandsons, Darcy and Dante, who brought immense pride to her life. Angela is also survived by her sister Tittina Pizzi (nee Berardino), her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Antonietta & Tito Molino, her nieces, a nephew, her godsons and close friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Montreal or to the food bank of your choice would be a fitting memorial to our mom.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, August 17, 2026 from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, and Tuesday, August 18, 2026 as of 9:00 am at Yves Légaré LaSalle.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday August 18, 2026 at 11:00 am at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 7935 Rue Lefebvre, LaSalle, QC H8N 1H5 to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
