It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Matteo Caccavelli, on June 8, 2025, at the age of 91.
Beloved husband for 67 years of Elena, cherished father of Giovanna and Tony (Tina), devoted grandfather of Sammy (Tanya), Angela, Elena (Tyler), Alexandra (Eric) and Matthew. He will also be deeply missed by his great-grandchildren Luca and Elio, his brother Ernesto, sisters Antonietta and Rosetta and their families.
The family will receive condolences on Thursday, June 12, 2025 from 9:30 am to 11:30 at Yves Légaré funeral complex : 7200, Newman Blvd in Lasalle.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday June 12, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Madre Dei Cristiani Church : 7935, rue Lefebvre, and thence, to the Montréal Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Verdun Hospital for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
