It is with unimaginable sadness that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of Tyler Sean Keating, age 34, on June 11, 2025 in Pointe-Claire, Quebec.
Tyler was born in Montreal on May 9, 1991 to Tim Keating and Stephanie Maclean and will be forever remembered by his 5 siblings Danny (Camilia), Olivia, Brendan, Liam and Noah. Among those who brought joy to his life was Amelia who held a very special place in his heart. Tyler was a devoted father, a fiercely loyal friend, and a man who lived with heart and humor. He was proud of his Irish heritage, an avid sports fan, loved to play soccer and football and was passionate about his dogs Tess and Frankie.
Tyler’s love for his daughter, Claire, was infinite and pure. From day one, Tyler was a dedicated, hands on father always present, always proud. His love for her was gentle, fierce, and endlessly giving. He will be remembered for his gentle heart, his quick smile and his unwavering dedication to her, who was the light of his life. Although he may be gone far too soon, the love he gave will live on in Claire and in all of us who were lucky enough to know him.
Tyler is survived by his daughter Claire, his father Tim (Chantal Melrose) and his mother Stephanie Maclean (Dave Rylett), his siblings, his nephews, Theo and Henry, as well as his grandmothers Bernice Keating and Viviane Rauzon along with many aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Tyler will be greeted in heaven by his grandfathers, James Keating , John Maclean and Marc Appleby.
Tyler’s final act was one of life-giving compassion. Through organ donation, Tyler saved the lives of 3 individuals and tissue will be used in research to help others in the future. His legacy will live on not only through Claire but in every life he helped heal.
Although Tyler is gone, he will live in our hearts forever
A celebration of Tyler’s life will be held on June 19th at Complex funéraire Yves Légaré, 7200 Newman Blvd, LaSalle, Qc with viewing from 5:30-8:30 and a mass from 8:30-9:00. All who knew and loved him are welcome.
It is no longer possible to buy flowers for this deceased.
