Tendre épouse de Vincent Roof-Racine et mère chérie d’Emma, fille tant aimée de Joseph Capozzo et de Louise Lacoste-Capozzo, belle-fille de Louise Roof.
Sara manquera profondément à son frère Mathieu (Sarah Farley) et à ses neveux Liam et Charlie, à ses tantes, Concetta Capozzo (Domenico Tasca) et Lucia Capozzo (Giuseppe Primerano), à son oncle François Lacoste (Suzanne Rossel), à ses cousins et cousines Mary Ann (Jeremy), Robert (Karen), Nadia (Claudio), Carlo, Erica, Julian, Sofia, Livia, Flavio, Matteo, ainsi qu’à toute sa grande famille et à sa belle-famille.

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Sara Capozzo, on July 24, 2023, at the age of 38.
Beloved wife of Vincent Roof-Racine and cherished mother of Emma, precious and loving daughter of Joseph Capozzo and Louise Lacoste-Capozzo, daughter in-law of Louise Roof.

It is with deep sorrow that my wife and I learned of Sara's sudden passing last week. We had the good fortune to meet Sara as patients and to be treated by her over many years. From the outset, we knew that we were not only in the hands of an accommodating, gentle and capable professional but, more importantly, that we were dealing with a generous human being. One cannot forget her warm smile, her positive energy and her friendly spirit. Although there is precious little that friends or acquaintances can do or say when a family is dealing with the loss of such a cherihed and wonderful person such as Sara, nevertheless, Paule and I wanted to convey that our thoughts and prayers are with you during these trying moments. We are saddened by your loss and send our heartfelt sympathies to Vincent, Emma and Sara's entire family. May she watch over all of you as we remember her with fondness.

Sara was my skating coach during my teenage years; she taught me skating fundamentals, but most importantly she taught me skills that I continue to apply to my everyday life and have shaped me into the person I am today. She instilled in me a sense of drive, personal responsibility, and taught me to always ask myself and those around me how I can grow and improve (and also teased me about the amount of questions I would ask). She will be sorely missed.

I had the opportunity to consult Sara over the past decade at Sports Specialists. She was always full of energy and optimism and always lead me to recovery. I was always disappointed when she would say that she did not need to see me since I responded so well to her interventions as I looked forward to my sessions with her and so many call conversations about everything, I am so saddened to hear of this news. I met Sara through Sports Specialists. From the moment we met I was instantly drawn to her bright personality and joie de vivre. I always looked forward to our visits as not only was she healing my body, she was soothing my soul. Our exchanges were so animated, cheerful and with plenty of laughter. My original connection with Sara was with osteopath sessions . Very quickly I grew to be very fond of her. She was my daughter’s age and Emma was my grandson’s age. We often chatted about the commonalities in our lives and compared notes on the little ones as she treated my issues while I was lying on my back! I looked forward to our sessions! I, too, was heartbroken to hear of her sudden passing….taken from her loved ones too soon…. I may not have know Sara for a very long time, but she touched me with her kindness, honesty and zest for life.. My deepest condolences to all the family.

I didn’t know Sara personally, but I remember her solo performances as a child in the end-of-year skating shows; she skated so full of grace. My heart and sympathies go out to her family and loved ones

J’ai eu la chance de patiner dans les mêmes années que Sara. C’était une patineuse incroyable, puissante et gracieuse. Au-delà de la patineuse Sara était une personne merveilleuse. Elle était généreuse, gentille, accessible et toujours souriante. Elle a toujours été un modèle pour moi et pour tant d’autres patineuses.
