It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Rinaldo La Porta, on June 14, 2023, at the age of 89.
Beloved husband for 63 years of Ida Gattellaro, cherished father of Christina and Frances (Robert), devoted grandfather of William, Vanessa, Julia and Alyssia. He will also be missed by his sister Anna in Argentina and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm and from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and Tuesday, June 20, 2023 as of 9:00 am at the Yves Légaré Complex in LaSalle, 7200 Newman boul.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday June 20, 2023 at 10:00 am at Saint Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church, 4455 Rue West Broadway, and thence, to the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Mont-Sinaï Hospital, palliative care unit for their genuine support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Mont-Sinai Palliative Care Unit Foundation would be appreciated.
