It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Giovaninna Zannella Della Posta, on September 16, 2023 at the age of 88 and Mr. Matteo Della Posta, on September 19, 2023, at the age of 93.
Having shared 69 years together, cherished parents of Joseph, Nicola and Maria, devoted grandparents of Amanda, Jason, Dalia, Matthew, Bianca, Sean, Justin, Cory, Samantha and Julian. They will also be deeply missed by her brother Alessandro Zannella and many relatives and friends.
The family will receive condolences on Monday, September 25, 2023 from 2 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm, and Tuesday, September 26, 2023 as of 9:00 am at the LaSalle Complex: 7200, Boul. Newman, H8N 1X2.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday September 26, 2023 at 11:00 am at Madre Dei Cristiani Church, 7935, rue Lefebvre, and then, to the Laval - Jardins Du Souvenir (Urgel Bourgie) Cemetery.

The last time I spoke to your mom at her new residence where they were so happy, she said: viene a trovarmi patina. I promised I would, but covid was around and so we were limited. Je suis vraiment désolée pour la grande perte que vous vivez présentement. La mort est notre pire ennemie. Heureusement, il y a un bel espoir pour l'humanité. J'ai lu dans un livre rempli de sagesse, une pensée réconfortante qui s'adresse à toutes les communautés culturelles. "Et il essuiera toute larme de leurs yeux, et la mort n’existera plus ; il n’y aura plus ni deuil, ni cri, ni douleur. Les choses anciennes ont disparu". Bon courage!

To my beloved Della Posta and Damiani family, no words can make the pain of loosing two soul so deeply important to you all. I pray that God can turn all the pain in good memories and make the grief easier. I will never forget all the love Nonno and Nonna gave me during the time you shared your beautiful and loving family with me. They will always be in my memories and my heart, as you all are. In Brazil we have a word called “saudade” that is the feeling you have when you miss someone. I hope all the love you all have for them can make the sadness of loosing them and turn it to just “saudade”. I love you all, may God and Holy Mary give comfort! Lots of love from Brazil.
